From the President's Desk: Halfway through the year and we’re just getting started!

As we close out the first half of 2026 at PRSA Chicago, we have a lot to look forward to. 

The 2026 PRSA Midwest District Conference is in Minneapolis June 24-26. This year’s conference invites strategic communications professionals to embrace boldness in every sense. From breakthrough storytelling to leadership that inspires, “Bold Communicators in the Bold North” celebrates the power of PR to move organizations, communities and culture forward.

PRSA Chicago, led by our Membership Committee, is welcoming summer interns to our community of communicators on June 11, and we have a Night at the Ballpark scheduled for a June 22 Chicago White Sox vs. the Cleveland Guardians game at Rate Field. 

Our 2026 PRSA Chicago Skyline Award entries have surpassed any year since 2018! The Awards Committee, led by Wendi Koziol, APR, Olivia Cohen and Dianna Garcia, worked hard to create new categories for 2026 and the proof of their efforts is in the results!

Finally, there’s still time to submit Leadership & Impact Award entries for our annual Skyline Awards in September. The categories are Professional of the Year, Young Professional of the Year, DEI Champion of the Year, and the Chicago Community Service Award (new for 2026). Submissions are open until June 15.
