From the President's Desk: Our Chapter is Heating Up in August!

Today I’m at the Union League Club attending the national PRSA Women of Impact awards and conference. We’re honored to welcome to Chicago forty outstanding honorees from around the country representing the best in communications across corporate, non-profit, agency and government.
Our Chicago PRSA Chapter, including all of you, will host nearly 3,000 communications professionals from all over the world at ICON 2027 in October next year – a once-in-a-decade chance for us to share our pride for our beautiful city.
It’s safe to say, Chicago PRSA is heating up in August this year.
On August 10, our PRSA Chicago Nominating Subcommittee will meet for the first time to collaborate on our board slate for 2027 open board positions. So if you want to join our board and help shape opportunities in programming, communications, membership, DEI, awards, or partnerships, now’s your chance to flex your leadership skills.
On August 20, we have my personal favorite event of the year – a Chicago river cruise networking event with an after party at Tiny Tapp on the riverwalk.
Now’s the time to grab your tickets for our Annual Skyline awards on September17 where we’ll celebrate the outstanding communications consistently coming out of our Chicago community, including individuals, agencies and in-house – hope to see you there.
Finally, we’re working on an all-member, in-person meeting for September 30. Stay tuned to our PRSA Chicago LinkedIn page for more details.
I’m very proud of the service provided to you all by our all-volunteer board members. It is because of their tireless efforts that PRSA Chicago is heating up in August.
Sincerely,
Andrew J. Krause
President, PRSA Chicago
