PRSA Chicago Celebrates Black History Month: Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow
PRSA Chicago is proud to celebrate Black History Month with a tribute to African Americans who are shaping the landscape of PR. We salute Kyla Hubbard, a graduate of Chicago’s Whitney Young Magnet High School. From a very young age, Kyla has always had a passion for immersive storytelling with the purpose of informing and educating others. She has published more than 100 articles about topics ranging from injustices within the Black community to important changes in legislation.
Kyla is currently pursuing her undergraduate degree in broadcast journalism at Florida Agricultural & Mechanical University in Tallahassee, Fl. She is the Editor-In-Chief of The Famuan, the university newspaper and Vice President of Print for FAMU's Association for Black Journalists. As a Summer 2023 HBCU In LA Finalist, Kyla will start her career in Los Angeles interning at a major company in the TV and film industry.
