The future of PRSA Chicago – in 2024 and beyond

As we close out this year and eagerly usher in 2024, PRSA Chicago continues to be dedicated to transformation, always evolving to better meet the needs of our profession and our members. We are also committed to aligning the Chapter with best governance practices, striving for the utmost inclusion, engaging our membership in meaningful ways and warmly welcoming the future of our industry.

With this in mind, PRSA Chicago is excited to officially announce a new structure for our 2024 Board of Directors. The new Board of Directors includes the Executive Committee (four officers: past-president, president, vice president, treasurer), the Communications Committee (three directors), the Diversity & Inclusion Committee (two directors), the Partnership Committee (two directors), the Awards Committee (two directors), an evolved Membership Committee (three directors) and an expanded Programming Committee (four directors).

This revised board structure drives greater efficiency and collaboration while streamlining efforts, ensuring PRSA Chicago is delivering the utmost compelling and inclusive professional development programming, intentional networking opportunities and an iconic awards gala that recognizes the diversity and excellence of our membership.

Embracing continued membership feedback and engagement, the new structure drives even greater operational efficiencies, aligns with PRSA national’s strategic plan and will allow us to better serve our membership’s needs. Adopted via a majority vote by the Board of Directors in Fall 2023, this new PRSA Board of Directors structure is reflected in the approved 2024 Board of Directors slate—also approved by our membership. 

In this next chapter for OUR chapter — in 2024 and beyond — we look forward to continuing to: 

• Building an environment EVERYONE wants to be a part of — from rising professionals to seasoned leaders;
• Empowering our members to influence our chapter’s decisions; and,
• Evolving as a chapter as our members, community, world and industry also continues to evolve around us.
