From the President's Desk: Another Incredible Year at PRSA Chicago

It is so bittersweet to write my last message as President of PRSA Chicago!

What an incredible year it has been, filled with inspiration, triumph, and challenges. We have watched as communications credibility and trust becomes more important than ever. Press releases and organic media are at the top of the food chain again (thanks, AI!) while the ethics surrounding generative artificial intelligence remain a key component of what we do and how we do it (thanks, AI!).

I have to take a moment to thank our wonderful 2025 PRSA Chicago Board of Directors. Your work, your support, your generosity in sharing your time and gifts with PRSA Chicago is so appreciated. I would also like to thank our PRSA Chicago members, now over 300 strong, for seeing the value in this organization and for bringing your expertise to our chapter.

As we move into 2026, I would like to extend my congratulations to the 2026 Board of Directors, and officially welcoming our new members to leadership under soon-to-be president Andrew Krause of AKA Partners. Andrew has been a fabulous thought leader and partner this year and I have no doubt that he will continue to take PRSA Chicago to new heights.

While we’re on the subject of presidents, I also need to thank Immediate Past President Kayee Ip, who is technically rotating off the board. However, I hope she is not rotating far because her support, guidance, and leadership has been invaluable. 

Congratulations on another year, another job well done! Happy holidays to you and yours, and thank you for allowing me the opportunity to serve you this year.
