Where: Virtual Webinar
For most of us, life can seem like a constant race, without having adequate time to reflect about the past and or setting goals for the future. In this engaging workshop, you will have an opportunity to press the “pause” button on life, even if it’s only for an hour. We can slow down long enough to evaluate how things have been going amidst all the chaos and transitions, to think about the future, and to live with intentionality toward our personal goals.
The unique aspect of this reflective workshop is that participants will walk away not only with a high-level plan for 2022 but also some practical tools on how to set goals that actually get realized. In this seminar, you will be exposed to a model of behavior change that is easy to understand and simple to implement.

William "Marty" Martin not only teaches a variety of courses ranging from health sector management to entrepreneurship, but he is also the faculty director of two combined degree programs: Health Sector Management MBA and MA in Health Communication and the MBA and Master of Public Health.
His research focuses on business ethics, healthcare management, disruptive behavior, and, more recently, entrepreneurship since he became a Coleman Entrepreneurship Faculty Fellow. Since transitioning from an executive to a faculty role, Martin has published 39 peer review articles, 45 editor review articles, two books and numerous book chapters. His scholarly work has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post and the USA Today.
Martin’s connection to the business, health care and start-up communities has been recognized. Martin has served as the co-lead of the design core of the DePaul/Rush Center on Community Health Equity. This cross-campus initiative aims to reduce health disparities primarily on the West Side of Chicago.
As a licensed clinical health psychologist armed with a Master's in Public Health, Martin approaches his role as a business and entrepreneurial faculty member in a unique way. This perspective has resulted in the development of numerous community-based service-learning courses. One such course is Streets of Chicago: Healthcare Management, which gives students the opportunity to interact with executives, managers and health practitioners in a host of companies, such as Navigant Consulting and Hospira. He also helped DePaul with starting an MBA program tailored to the needs of Walgreen's employees. In 2015, Martin was awarded the DePaul Excellence in Public Service Award for his contributions to the community.
Martin serves as the faculty advisor of the Society for Human Resource Management Chapter. He also was named as a nominee for the DePaul Spirit of Assessment Award and was named in 2014 as a DePaul Media Star.
